Festival Competitions

Held in the first week of September, it is a vibrant and inclusive program of events promoting the cultural heart of our community. It is designed to inspire and showcase local talent in art, writing, performance, and fashion, through competitions and exhibitions, or via on stage performances.

Enjoy plenty of great entertainment including the Youth Showcase featuring local children from four years old, buskers in the street, performances by The Boonah Playmakers, and more. By being involved, you can make friends while contributing to the economy and wellbeing of your community. Whether it is stretching your vocal cords, sharpening your word skills in writing, or trying your hand at painting, there is something for everyone at the Ritchies Boonah Arts Festival.

Art is not what you see, but what you make others see
