About Us
The Boonah & District Cultural Foundation Inc. was created to widen knowledge, understanding and appreciation of artistic, creative and cultural needs and objectives in the community at large.
This includes the development of economic benefits to the district through cultural programs.
The Foundation is run entirely by volunteers. We are thankful for the support of members and community and encourage all to take part in our events.
The Boonah & District Cultural Foundation Inc. provides workshops and opportunities to encourage the growth of a local arts community and to support local career paths for people in the Arts disciplines.
We provide financial assistance to the Boonah Library for whatever resources they require, with funds raised at our annual Boonah Bookfest
The Boonah Archives are run by Boonah & District Cultural Foundation volunteers. The foundation also provides new equipment such as computers.
The Boonah & District Cultural Foundation Inc contracted renowned local artist Fiona Sutherland in 2007 to create two 1.5m bas-relief panels for the exterior walls of the Boonah Cultural Centre.
